in the DLI Memorial Chapel, Durham Cathedral (as W C Carling).
Remembered on the Bowburn Miners’ Institute plaque (as Christopher Carling Jr); and the Cassop-cum-Quarrington plaque (as C. Carling).

In 2016, at the suggestion of John Davison, Durham County Council named a new residential road in Bowburn "Carlin Close".


Born abt. 1892 in Castle Eden, Co Durham. Known to family & friends as 'Kit'.
